The thinking
Blind dogs can navigate by building mental maps of familier spaces such as their home and garden. Outside of these areas they use echos to assist in avoiding obstacles such as walls, cars, dustbins, etc but rely on external sources to produce a sound to create the echo.
These sources could be collar worn bells, owners foot steps or an utrasonic emitter. BatDog is an ultrasonic emitter... but head worn, such that the dog can 'look' around.
